“Larry
Rippenkroeger has been an idol of mine since I started racing in 1986” remarked
AJ Handler CEO of Pro Watercross “he is a great athlete and role model to our
competitors and was my first choice as a guest speaker for our World
Championship Award Banquet” continued Handler.
We caught up
with Larry this week to ask him about coming out to Naples this September and
he told us "I'm looking forward to attending the Pro Watercross World
Championship in Naples. I hope to see some old friends, make some new ones and witness
some great action". Larry, a multi-time Pro-Ski World Champion, stunt man
and stunt coordinator, has a very storied history in watercraft racing, winning
the first Pro-Ski World Championship and Pro Freestyle World Championship in
1982. This was followed by a second Pro-Ski title 2 years later and another Pro
Freestyle Championship in 1989.
Competitors
and fans will have the opportunity to meet Larry Rippenkroeger during the World
Championship Pro weekend during an autograph session as well as at the Award

Junior rider AJ Luinstra commented "I can't wait until the Pro Watercross
World Championship and hang out with the first guy to ride two stand up jet
skis at once” after hearing about Larry attending the World Championship.
Larry
retired from racing after the 1994 season and has focused his attention on a
successful career in the TV and movie industry. Larry has had a number of
acting roles but is best known for his work as a stunt man and stunt
coordinator. To date Larry has been involved in 87 TV and movie
