RD 3 - SPARKS, NV & RD 4 - ST GEORGE, UT

Let the racing begin as Hidden Trails/Sea Doo Pro Watercross National Tour commences with its two west coast tour stops: Sparks (Reno), NV and St. George, UT. These two west coast stops will showcase the world's greatest racers as well as the up-and-coming world champions of tomorrow.

Sparks, Nevada is an amazing site for racing, nice beach, clean water, the race site is just steps away from the hotel and there are lots of things to see and do in the Sparks/Reno area.

Racing is not all that is happening in Sparks - on Saturday evening in between Pro racing will be Freesyle competition followed up with a Guinness World Record breaking attempt for the most barrel rolls in 2 minutes. The old record stood at 12 barrel rolls, but earlier this year Dan Rowan from the UK set a new world record at 15 barrel rolls... USA it now your turn! Can you break the record?

St George, Utah's Sand Hollow State Park with its warm, blue waters and red sandstone landscape is the perfect location for the Tours fourth stop... Sand Hollow is one of Utah's most gorgeous state parks and is located in southern Utah just east of St. George in Hurricane, Utah (pronounced Hurri-cun). Last year's competitors told us it  is "an epic site for racing and so much fun for riding the sand dunes on their ATV/UTVs.

IMPORTANT SITE INFORMATION: DECONTAMINATION
COMPETITORS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO HAVE THEIR BOATS INSPECTED AND DECONTAMINATED. PLEASE READ BELOW.

Lake Powell's situation is an immense threat to all Utah waters and protection will be the focus at Sand Hollow Complex Parks; with the resources available, staying Quagga free at Sand Hollow/Quail Creek/Gunlock will be our top priority.

Lake Powell will provide some education/information at their boat ramps but will not be decontaminating watercraft exiting the park. The main focus at Sand Hollow will shift from decontamination boats exiting Sand Hollow; to prevention/decontamination of high risk boats prior to entering Sand Hollow Complex Parks. Between September 13, 2012 and May 15, 2013 Sand Hollow contacted 455 boats last launched on Lake Powell and 1,017 coming from Lake Mead/Lower Colorado waters. These watercrafts are a major threat to Utah waters and will be our top priority. We will offer decontamination to all boats. At the request of DWR we are encouraging local boaters to "Clean, Drain and Dry" on their own. Decontamination will continue to be available at Gunlock State Park.

Watercraft going from Sand Hollow to Quail Creek, Gunlock and beyond do not require a decontamination. Clean tags are no longer used. If you have questions or require further information, please contact Sand Hollow State Park 435-680-0715.

Thank you for your support in keeping our waters Quagga free
