FLYBOARD WORLD CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS

EVENT: Flyboard World Cup Championships
DATES:  Friday – Sunday, September 16-18, 2016
TIMES:  10:00 am – 5:00 pm

The 5th World Championship competition, produced by Pro Watercross and Zapata Racing, features the best Flyboard riders from around the world displaying an exhilarating range of skills during their freestyle battles. The riders will be judged by a jury of five professionals, who will crown a world champion. The competition, which is free to the public, will be filmed by CBS Sports on Sunday for airing on CBS Sports Spectacular
Flyboard could be considered the father of HydroFlight and is the leading manufacturer of these boot like devices that are propelled into the air using the power of a water/jet pump of personal watercrafts.
This year 52 competitors representing 16 countries or territories will be participating in this invitation only event. There will be demonstrations of other Zapata hydro-flight products however the competition will be limited to the most popular product line the Zapata Flyboard. The Flyboard World Championship is the final competition in a series of National Championships that are hosted in France, Netherlands, Korea and Japan.

PRO WATERCROSS US NATIONAL HYDRODRAG CHAMPIONSHIPS 

EVENT: Pro Watercross US National HydroDrag Championships
DATES:  Monday, September 19, 2016
TIMES:  10:00 am – 5:00 pm

HydroDrags are exactly what it sounds… personal watercrafts drag racing side by side over 600 feet for top speed records. Over 20 of the top HydroDrag competitors in the USA will compete to be crowned US National Champions at Sugden Regional Park (ski side), Monday, September 19 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

The Pro Watercross World Championship features the world's best powersports athletes as well as the up-and-coming men and women in the highly explosive and exciting sport of personal watercraft racing, also known as “Watercross”.

These riders from all over the world will utilize some of the most advanced equipment and technology to help their watercrafts reach speeds of over 90 miles-per-hour.  Throughout the week, riders will engage in a fierce battle of skill, technology and innovation on and off the water, combining the electricity and appeal of traditional beach events with the high-speed thrills of competitive motor sports - many relate this to Supercross on water…

Best of all, this is free to the public to watch, as well as live web streaming throughout the week and CBS Sports will be there filming for a one-hour TV show airing this October.

Spotlight on Naples, Florida: It is not often that a city, such as Naples, Florida and its community have the opportunity to be part of an emerging sport's leap from the national recognition into the international spotlight. Pro Watercross has been producing personal watercraft racing since 1995 and over the years the tour has grown to include participants from five different continents competing in tour stops throughout the USA.

CBS Sports: Pro Watercross World Championship's Pro finals will be aired on the CBS Sports Network. The thrill of watercross racing comes to a head as the top professional watercross competitors come together from all over the world. The CBS production crew will be part of the weeklong personal watercraft racing event which will start with amateur racing and flow into the final Pro weekend.

Media: Pro Watercross draws international, national, regional and local media publicity for its events. In addition to the CBS Sports production, Univision will be at the world championship filming. National print and online magazines such as Pro Rider and Watercraft Journal will cover the event with articles read by their 100,000 + readers.

Performance Alley: The Performance Alley will showcase the latest models in the Powersports industry including personal watercrafts, motorcycles, ATV, cars, pleasure boating and more. The industries trendiest designers will be on hand to display and sell the most popular Powersports lifestyle attire.
