The 2015 Pro Watercross Hidden Trails National
Tour opened the season in Panama City Beach, FL. With the white sand beaches and clear
emerald blue water this is one of the most picturesque locations we have on the
schedule, and a racer favorite.
The season starts out big in 2015 with a who's who in
PWC racing littering the beach in front of the Boardwalk Beach Resort. We have
140+ entries for the weekend, a Sport Stock Class with 14 riders and a Pro Ski
GP Class large enough we had to run qualifiers for Sunday's Pro Show!
In Heat #1 of Pro Ski GP the spectators witnessed Chris
"The G.O.A.T." MacClugage put on a clinic on how to ride in the
Panama surf. His smooth, and of course fast ride was seemingly effortless all
the way to the checkered flag.
Heat #2 of Pro Ski GP was dominated by Rob "Flo"
Flores. We took the lead early on aboard his Factory Yamaha Flo designed hull,
and never looked back all the way through the checkered flag.
Ermino Iantosca however did not have the same luck in the
Pro Runabout GP Class. After pulling the holeshot, early in the race, as he
came around the turn leading to the front stretch... he broke down. This gave
Abdullah Al-Fadhel the top spot and first place finish.
Word in the pits is that Ermino blew a motor during the
race, replaced it and then blew that motor. At this time, it is unclear whether
he will be on line for his motos tomorrow.
Join us tomorrow for our final motos and see who will come
out on top of the 2015 Pro Watercross podium! If you can't be on Panama's
beautiful beach with us then check out all of Sunday's racing action live

See you tomorrow
